• Mirae Asset S&P 500 Top 50 ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) is an open-ended scheme belonging to Mirae Asset Mutual Fund House.
• Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Private Limited is the controlling company of the ETF. Mirae Asset Trustee Company Private Limited is the trustee while Siddharth Srivastava is the fund manager.
• The scheme was launched on September 20, 2021. The ETF is listed on the NSE and BSE.
• Mirae Asset S&P 500 Top 50 ETF tracks and mirrors the S&P 500 Top 50 Total Return Index (TRI).
• The Assets Under Management (AUM) of Mirae Asset S&P 500 Top 50 ETF stood at ₹737.63 crore as on June 30, 2024.

Investment Objective & Benchmark

• The scheme aims to “generate returns, before expenses, that are commensurate with the performance of the S&P 500 Top 50 Total Return Index (TRI), subject to tracking error and foreign exchange variations”.
• The S&P 500 Top 50 Total Return Index (TRI) is made up of the 50 largest blue chip companies, regarded as mega caps, from the S&P 500 index.
• The weightage of the component companies in the S&P 500 Top 50 Total Return Index (TRI) is decided based on float-adjusted market capitalisation, i.e. by multiplying the ongoing stock price with the number of outstanding floating shares (those available for public trading).
• The sector agnostic portfolio is reviewed once a year to ensure it mirrors the market movements.
• The Mirae Asset S&P 500 Top 50 ETF picks its component stocks in a proportion that conforms, as close as possible, to their weightage in the S&P 500 Top 50 Total Return Index (TRI).

Asset Allocation & Portfolio Composition

• The fund’s asset allocation comprises around 95%-100% in equities and 0-5% in money market instruments/debt securities, instruments and/or units of schemes of domestic mutual funds.
• Mirae Asset S&P 500 TOP 50 ETF has the option to put its entire basket of net assets in foreign securities.
• As of June 30, 2024, the international equity holdings in the ETF comprised around 99.95% of its assets. Cash & other receivables made up the rest 0.05%.

As on June 30, 2024, the top 10 equity holdings in the ETF comprised around 59.85% of its assets. The top three equity holdings constituted 34.29% of the assets.
