Understanding the Contract Note
A contract note is a legal document confirming all trades executed through a stockbroker on a given day, including a detailed breakdown of incurred charges
Key Components of the Contract Note:
Client Information: This section includes your basic details such as name, address, and unique client code.
Trade Details: You can review your trade details, including the Order Number, Order Time, Trade Number, Trade Time, scrip details, and transaction type (buy or sell).
+Pay In / -Pay Out Obligation: Reflects your profit and loss statement, including brokerage but excluding other charges. A negative amount signifies a credit to your trading account
- Net Amount (-) receivable by the client / (+) payable by the Client: It shows your profit and loss statement after debiting brokerage and other charges. If the total amount shown is negative, then the amount was credited into your trading account.
