The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has published updated settlement dates for FY2026-27 via Circular NSE/INSP/72413 (Circular Ref. No. 4/2026, dated 20 January 2026), issued in accordance with SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD1/P/CIR/2023/197 dated 28 December 2023.

The settlement dates have been jointly prescribed by all exchanges and apply to all Trading Members. Please note the new dates for Q1 FY2026-27 below.

Every 3 months, brokers must transfer unused funds from your trading account to your bank account, as per SEBI rules. This is called Quarterly Fund Settlement.

📅 New dates for Q1 FY2026-27: Friday, 17 April 2026 &/or Saturday, 18 April 2026. These dates have changed from the previous quarter — please update your plans accordingly.

So, on Friday, 17 April 2026 &/or Saturday, 18 April 2026, any unused funds in your Upstox account will be sent to your registered bank account. You can check your bank statement to confirm the refund.

⚠️ If you don't, your account balance may show ₹0 on Monday, 20 April, and you'll need to add funds again before trading.
