Investment objective
This scheme is based on a factor investing strategy, which means identifying factors that can contribute to successful investing.
Hence, the Aditya Birla Sun Life Nifty 200 Quality 30 ETF will track the Nifty 200 Quality 30 index. This index consists of the top 30 companies from the Nifty 200 universe. These companies or stocks are selected as per their “quality” scores.
The quality score of a company is based on factors such as return on equity, financial leverage (debt/equity ratio) and earnings growth visibility over the last five years. Also, Nifty 200 Quality 30 index is rebalanced semi-annually and is currently large cap-oriented.
Most importantly, the Nifty 200 Quality 30 index has grown around 12x in the last 16 years. Whereas, the Nifty 200 and Nifty 500 indices have risen by around 6x. In terms of sectoral weightage, consumer companies currently account for 58% of the index.
