EAAA India Alternatives was incorporated in Mumbai in May 2008 as Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors and adopted its present name in August 2024. The company operates an Indian alternative-asset-management platform spanning fund management, investment advisory and portfolio-management services.
The company has more than 17 years of operating experience and reported assets under management (“AUM”) of ₹95,344 crore and fee-paying AUM (“FPAUM”) of ₹48,623 crore as of June 30, 2026. During FY24 to FY26 and Q1FY27, it raised commitments of ₹47,526 crore, deployed ₹38,229 crore and realised ₹31,232 crore. No material acquisition, business divestment, merger or amalgamation was undertaken during the preceding 10 years.
The platform is organised primarily into real assets and private credit. Real assets invests through equity, quasi-equity and debt across infrastructure and commercial real estate; its sub-strategies comprise infrastructure yield, commercial real estate yield, perpetual capital and energy transition.
As of June 2026, this vertical managed 10 active funds, including two InvITs, with AUM of ₹39,704 crore and FPAUM of ₹28,039 crore, representing 57.6% of total FPAUM. Since inception, the vertical has completed 38 investments and 27 exits and realised ₹10,128 crore. Its operating portfolio included 3.10 msf of office space, 4,586 lane-km of roads, 1,835 circuit-km of transmission assets and 1.73 GW of solar capacity.
Private credit provides flexible financing through debt, convertible debt and similar instruments. Its four principal strategies are performing credit, special situations, real estate credit and investment-grade credit.
As of June 2026, it managed 16 active funds with AUM of ₹53,716 crore and FPAUM of ₹19,272 crore, or 39.64% of total FPAUM. Since inception, the vertical had made 190 investments aggregating ₹42,407 crore, completed 140 exits and realised ₹43,973 crore. Other activities, principally co-investment portfolio-management services and growth investments, accounted for the remaining ₹1,310.86 crore, or 2.6%, of FPAUM.
EAAA derives income from management and advisory fees, variable additional return (“VAR”) and returns on sponsor/general-partner investments (“GP Income”). Management fees are generally based on committed or invested capital, NAV or gross block and can be up to 2.25% of FPAUM. VAR, which can be up to 20% of a fund’s relevant net profit, is recognised after specified performance hurdles and waterfall conditions are met. FY26 total income was ₹963.7 crore, comprising management and advisory fees of ₹579.07 crore, VAR of ₹290.4 crore, GP Income of ₹79.9 crore and miscellaneous income of ₹14.2 crore.
The client base comprised 11,009 relationships as of June 2026, including 1,493 repeat clients, with 77% of AUM contributed by repeat clients. Institutional investors, including banks, insurers and pension funds, accounted for 49.3% of AUM, while UHNIs/HNIs, family offices, corporates and other non-institutional clients contributed 50.6%.
India represented 66.2% of AUM and overseas markets 33.8%, including North America at 16.2% and Europe at 12.6%. The company operates from Mumbai, New Delhi, GIFT City and Singapore and had 53 distributors, chaperoning partners and offshore relationship managers at June 2026, compared with 13 in FY24.
Sekura India Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, provides operating, maintenance, monitoring and turnaround capabilities across portfolio assets in 16 Indian states. EAAA’s operating structure included 85 investment professionals, 58 asset-operating employees, 13 coverage personnel and 108 enterprise-function employees as of June 2026. Its investment process includes separate sourcing, diligence, investment-committee and independent risk reviews, followed by portfolio monitoring, valuation and risk classification.
India’s alternatives AUM increased from $60.6 billion in CY15 to $151.9 billion in CY25 and is forecast to reach approximately $267.1 billion by CY30. Within this, income/yield strategies comprising private credit and real assets are forecast to expand from $50.6 billion to $112.9 billion at a 16% to 18% CAGR. Drivers include domestic institutional capital, expanding UHNI/HNI wealth, infrastructure monetisation, corporate credit gaps, urbanisation and demand for energy, transport, commercial-property and digital infrastructure. Constraints include illiquidity, interest-rate sensitivity, credit/default risk, long exits, regulatory change and competition for investable assets and client capital.
EAAA’s 10 real asset funds/InvITs, 16 private credit funds, multi-vintage track record and operating platform give it established exposure to these expanding income/yield categories. Sekura’s on-ground capability may support asset monitoring and value enhancement, while EAAA’s private credit product range addresses financing gaps left by banks and NBFCs.
Its balanced institutional/non-institutional client mix and 77% repeat-client AUM may also support successive fundraises and cross-selling. However, industry expansion will not automatically translate into earnings: EAAA must continue raising capital, converting AUM into FPAUM, deploying capital at acceptable risk-adjusted returns and delivering realisations in illiquid markets.
Now, EAAA India Alternatives is launching its Initial Public Offering (IPO), which is a complete offer for sale of ₹1,200 crore. Its shares will be listed on NSE and BSE.
