What is TOTP and how to enable TOTP for my Upstox account?

A TOTP is a temporary one-time password generated by an authenticator app. Please follow the steps below to enable TOTP in your Upstox account:


Please follow the below steps to enable TOTP in Upstox account:


Step 1: Log in to the Upstox app using your 6-digit PIN or biometrics.


Step 2: Click on ‘Upstox Icon’ at the top left corner of the screen.

Step 3: Click on ‘My account’.

Step 4: Click on 'Profile'



Step 5: Click on ‘Time-based OTP (TOTP)’.



Step 6: Click on ‘Enable TOTP’.



Step 7: Enter the 6-digit OTP received on your registered mobile number. Then click on 'Continue'.



Step 8: Scan the QR code on your authenticator app. Also, enter the generated 6-digit TOTP. Then click on 'Continue to enable'.



Note: You can download any app Google Authenticator, Twilio Authy Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to scan the above QR code.


Step 9: Your TOTP is enabled successfully.
