You can ask for an update to your mobile number once you reach the enrolment centre. Follow these easy steps:
  • Step 1: Fill out the Aadhaar Update/Correction Form.
  • Step 2: Submit the completed form to the Aadhaar executive.
  • Step 3: Make a 50 Rupee service fee payment.
  • Step 4: Following the completion of the request, you will be given an Update Request Number (URN). You will receive an acknowledgement slip with the Update Request Number (URN). You can use the URN to find out the status of your update request.
  • Step 5: Within 90 days, the Aadhaar database will be updated with your new mobile number.
In ideal cases, it may take up to 30 days for your mobile number to be changed in the Aadhaar database. That said, it won't take more than 90 days, as mentioned above.

How to Check If The Aadhaar Card Mobile Number Has Been Updated

You can check if your new mobile number is linked with your Aadhaar in one of two ways, as follows:

Approach 1:

  • Click "Verify an Aadhaar Number" on the Aadhaar Services page of the UIDAI website.
    • To find out if your mobile number is linked with your Aadhaar, enter your Aadhaar number, enter the captcha, then click "Proceed And Verify Aadhaar."

Approach 2:

  • Click "Verify Email/Mobile Number" on the Aadhaar Services section of the UIDAI website.
    • Your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and captcha code must be entered after clicking Verify Mobile Number.
    • To find out if your mobile number has been validated with UIDAI records, click "Send OTP."
The Aadhar database allows for unlimited mobile number changes, but each time you do so, you must pay the associated fee. A user who has an Aadhaar mobile number linked to their account can use the OTP to access online services and keep track of all the subsidies they have received and received in their bank account.
All OTPs for Aadhaar will be delivered to this mobile number after it has been updated. You can also download your Aadhaar card online by entering this OTP at the UIDAI portal.
