Godrej Industries Limited is the holding company of the Indian multinational conglomerate Godrej Group. Its segments include chemicals, animal feeds, vegetable oils, estate and property development, finance and investments, dairy and crop protection, among others. These segments are run by four divisions – Godrej Chemicals, Godrej Agrovet, Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Capital and Godrej Properties.

Business Operations
The chemicals segment of Godrej Industries Limited includes producing and selling oleochemicals and surfactants. The manufacturing facilities of the chemical division are situated in Gujarat’s Valia and Ambernath in Maharashtra. The animal feed segment involves the production and sale of compound feeds for cattle, poultry, shrimp and fish.
The vegetable oils segment covers processing and bulk trading of refined vegetable oils and vanaspati, international vegetable oil trading and oil palm plantation. Godrej Agrovet Limited is the largest oil palm processor in India, collaborating directly with over 9,000 farmers throughout the entire lifecycle of the crop.
The estate and property development segment focuses on the development and sale of real estate, leasing, and leasing and licensing properties. In FY23, Godrej Properties launched 24 new projects such as Godrej Horizon in Mumbai and Godrej Splendour in Bengaluru. It also expanded its portfolio by adding eighteen new projects with a saleable potential of around 29 million square feet during the year. These projects included 7 in MMR, 5 in NCR, 2 each in Bengaluru and Pune, and 1 each in Nagpur and Chennai.
The finance and investments segment includes financial services and investments in associate companies and other investments. Godrej Capital Limited (GCL), a subsidiary of the company, operates as a Non-Banking Finance Company- Core Investment Company (NBFC-CIC). In FY23, Godrej Housing Finance Limited and Godrej Finance Limited became wholly-owned subsidiaries of GCL. It reported a consolidated total income of ₹346.91 crore in FY23, compared to ₹54.86 crore in the previous year.
The company has manufacturing units at Ambernath, Valia, Wadala and Dombivli. Engaged in B2B commerce, Godrej Industries Limited's products cater to the needs of various industries including home care, personal care, rubber and polymer, pharmaceuticals, food, oil and gas, and other industrial applications. The company serves its customers directly as well as through distributors.
Through its subsidiaries and associate companies, Godrej Industries serves markets in over 65 countries.
The chemicals segment of the company has a strong global presence, exporting to over 70 countries. In FY23, it achieved export sales of ₹1,383 crore, a 55% growth compared to the previous fiscal.
The company's main activities include the production of fractionated fatty acid and stearic acid, which accounted for 46% of its turnover in FY23. It was followed by mid-cut fatty alcohol production at 26%. It also produces surfactants like AOS, SLS and SLES that contributed 15% to the turnover, while refined glycerine production contributed 5%.
