As per SEBI’s circular on Quarterly Fund Settlement, please keep the following in mind -

Any funds in your Upstox account that haven't been utilised will be returned to your registered bank account by Saturday, 5 Oct 2024.

What you should do:

• Please check your bank statement to verify and view the returned funds
• To ensure you can trade on Monday, 7 Oct 2024, please add funds to your Upstox account in advance, as your account balance may be zero on that day. Know more: How can I transfer funds?
• If you're using NEFT/RTGS, please add Upstox as a beneficiary at least 24 hours in advance, ideally by Friday, 4 Oct. Below are the beneficiary details:

As announced by the Finance Minister earlier this year, Exchanges (NSE, BSE and MCX) have revised the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) and Transaction Charges applicable per-trade from 1 October 2024. The revised charges are mentioned below:

A) Securities Transactions Tax:

B) Exchange Transaction Charges  - NSE

B) Exchange Transaction Charges  - BSE

B)Exchange Transaction Charges  - MCX

DP Charges: ₹ 18.5 + GST
[Male - ₹ 3.5 (CDSL) + ₹ 15.0 (Upstox charges)]
[Female - ₹ 3.25 (CDSL) + ₹ 15.25 (Upstox charges)]

By continuing to use our mobile and desktop platforms, it shall be deemed that you have consented to the levy of the Revised Regulatory Charges for trades undertaken on and from 1 October 2024 and the levy of the Revised Commercial Charges for trades undertaken on and from 1 November 2024.

On account of Gandhi Jayanti, Wednesday, 2 October 2024 is a trading holiday. 

Keep in mind: 

• 🔹 Equity, Derivative and Commodity markets will be closed on 2 October. Trading will resume on 3 October.
• 🔹 Standard Fund Withdrawal requests placed after 8 AM on 1 October will be processed on 3 October.
• 🔹 Instant Fund Withdrawal facility will not be available on 2 October.

We would like to inform you that around 1000 scrips have been disapproved by the Exchange from their list of ‘Approved Securities for Margin Pledge’ based on the circular issued on 8th July 2024.

As per the circular, these scripts will now attract a minimum of 80% haircut starting from 1 October 2024. Earlier the haircut was changed to 60% starting from 1 September 2024.

If any of these scrips are already pledged with us, they will attract a higher haircut starting 30 September 2024. Which means, you will need to have additional funds to keep your positions intact.

In case there are any margin shortfalls, your positions will be squared off on or after 1 October 2024 to comply with the margin requirements.

Please note, the following securities will be removed from SEBI’s list of approved securities for Margin Pledge.

As a result, you will not receive margins for F&O trading against these scrips starting Thursday, 26 September 2024:

NOTE: If you have pledged any of the above, after 26 September 2024, you will not receive margins pledge benefit and you will be required to fulfil the full margin requirement. If you’re unable to pay, we will have to automatically square off your positions to recover the amount by 1 October 2024.
