Rupa and Company Limited is a leading player in the textile and apparels industry. The company specialises in a wide range of undergarments and knitted garments. Its product lineup includes men's undergarments, women's undergarments, lowers, T-shirts and body warmers.
The company was founded in 1968 as Binod Hosiery.

Business operations
Rupa and Company Limited sells a diverse collection of knitted innerwear and intimate wear. The company’s brands include Rupa, Frontline, Jon, Air, Macroman, Macroman M Series, Euro, Bumchums and Thermocot. It also has premium brands such as Macroman M-Series, Macrowoman W-Series, FCUK and Fruit of the Loom. These premium brands cover a range of products including innerwear, lingerie, activewear and leisurewear.
The company serves the female innerwear and loungewear market through its brands Jon and Softline, catering to the economy and premium categories. Its Macrowoman W-Series targets the super-premium category customers.
Rupa has manufacturing facilities in Domjur (West Bengal), Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Bengaluru (Karnataka). Its products are distributed through a network of over 1,500 dealers and reach more than 1,50,000 retail outlets.
Rupa has a significant presence in East India and has also expanded its reach towards the North, followed by West India. Its extensive network operates through 28 Exclusive Branded Outlets (EBOs) and 4 central warehouses, apart from the dealers and retail outlets. Rupa's products are available in over 1,400 modern retail format stores including prominent names such as Reliance, D-Mart, Spencers, More, Stylebazar and Pothy’s. Rupa and Company Limited has more than 18 sub-brands and a portfolio of 9,000 SKUs (stock-keeping units).
The products can also be found on popular e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, JioMart, Myntra and Tata Cliq. The company also offers its own products online through the Rupa Online store.
The company operates one of India's most advanced dyeing plants. It is located in Domjur, near Kolkata. The Domjur facility has cutting-edge machinery and is complemented by a sophisticated in-house laboratory and research and development facilities. The dyeing process involves high-tech machinery such as Mayer and Cie knitting machines and Auto Striper machines from Germany, Santex finishing range from Switzerland, Datacolor colour matching system from the USA and others. The plant features the latest stitching machines from Japan. The Domjur Unit is also supported by an advanced in-house R&D unit.
The company's subsidiary, Euro Fashion Inners International Private Limited, previously focused on selling premium hosiery products under the brand EURO. It has since transferred its business operations to the company through a collaboration agreement. Its other subsidiary Imoogi Fashions Private Limited specialises in the manufacturing, processing and sale of premium hosiery and casual wear products for the female and kids segments under the brand Femmora. Oban Fashions Private Limited is engaged in the trading of yarn, while Rupa Fashions Private Limited, incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary, is engaged in manufacturing and trading activities.
