Stock Market Highlights: SENSEX flat at 78,017, NIFTY50 above 23,650; IT stocks rise, 30 stocks hit 52-week highs

SUMMARY
Stock market today: Benchmark indices on Tuesday ended flat with a positive bias and a rise in IT stocks. SENSEX stood at 78,017.19, up 32.81 points (0.04%), while NIFTY50 was at 23,668.65, up 10.30 points (0.04%).
Shares of Punjab & Sind Bank jumped as much as 13.07% to ₹50.50 apiece on the NSE.
Stock market on March 25
The Indian equity market on Tuesday, March 25 ended flat, extending gains for the seventh consecutive session amid a rise in IT and bank stocks as the US President Donald Trump hinted towards possible exemptions in tariffs on multiple countries.
From the 2,998 stocks trading on the NSE on Tuesday, 2,258 stocks declined, 674 advanced and 66 remained unchanged.
As many as 30 stocks hit their 52-week highs. Opposingly, 96 stocks touched their one-year lows.

Top gainers and losers on March 25
On the NSE NIFTY50 index, UltraTech Cement, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, Grasim and Infosys were the biggest gaining stocks, rising by up to 3.21%. On the other hand, IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s, Adani Enterprises, Coal India and Adani Ports were the biggest losers, plunging by as much as 5.12%.

NIFTY, SENSEX settle higher
