Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is one of the largest media companies in India. It was founded in 1991 by Subhash Chandra. The company launched India's first private satellite TV channel in 1992. The company caters to 1.3 billion viewers globally across linear and digital platforms.

Initially a content provider for Zee TV, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has since become a conglomerate with India's popular entertainment channels. Its portfolio includes well-known TV channels like Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Zee Music, Zee Café, Zee Smile, Zee Action, Zee Premiere, ETC, ETC Punjabi, TEN Sports, Zee Studio, Zee Classic, Zee Trendz and Zee Sports.

Zee also offers education and training through ZICA, Kidzee, ZIMA and ZED. Zee Entertainment operates an in-house production company known as Zee Motion Pictures.

On a global scale, Zee's initiatives include ZEE Radio in London, ZEE AFLAM- a Hindi movie channel in the Middle East and North Africa, and ZEE MIB- a Hindi entertainment channel catering to viewers in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has a presence in over 190 countries worldwide. It offers a vast library of over 5,000 movie titles. Since the introduction of its OTT platform ZEE5, the company has launched over 230 original shows and movies.

Zee5 also has an international presence and it is the leading South Asian OTT platform in Bangladesh and the Middle East. It also has entered into more than 25 global partnerships across key countries.


Zee Music Company is India's premier music publishing label. It has released over 10,100 songs to date and contributed to more than 1,100 movie titles in 22 languages. Its reach includes more than 116 million subscribers across all YouTube channels.

Zee has a total of 19 subsidiaries, including 3 domestic direct/step-down subsidiaries, 15 overseas entities and 1 joint venture company as of March 31, 2023.

  • The company’s revenue from operations for FY23 stood at ₹8,088 crore, marginally down from ₹8,186 crore in FY22.
  • The company's profit before tax stood at ₹468 crore in FY23 as against ₹1,498.5 crore in FY22.
  • In FY23, the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell to ₹1,101 crore from the previous year's ₹1,780.3 crore.
  • Its EBITDA margin stood at 13.6% in FY23.
