Saksoft Limited is a leading Indian IT services and consultancy company. It provides technology solutions to its clients across the globe. The company was incorporated in 1999 under the name Sak Infotech Ltd. It was founded to provide IT solutions for business challenges in the banking, financial and insurance sectors.
Saksoft Limited started its operations in 2000 with the setup of a development centre in Chennai. In August 2000, the company established its Singapore Subsidiary, Sak Software Pte, to oversee operations in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.
The company acquired the business and assets of Synertech Inc. based in Boulder, United States, in 2001. The same year, a branch office in London was established to handle business operations in the UK market. In September 2002, the company expanded further by acquiring the business assets of Chennai-based NeemTree Technologies Pvt Ltd. The company underwent a name change from Sak Infotech Limited to Saksoft Limited in 2002.

Saksoft Limited business operations
Saksoft Limited provides technology services to companies in the industry verticals of fintech, logistics and transportation, health tech and utilities. It assists clients with application engineering, quality assurance and testing, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure and cyber security services.
Saksoft is headquartered in Chennai and maintains a global presence with operations in 16 offices across India, Europe, Asia and the United States. The US represents the company's largest market, contributing 47% of its revenue, while Europe and the Asia-Pacific region contribute 25% and 28% respectively. The company's long standing focus has been on companies with revenues ranging from $100 million to $3 billion.
In FY23, the fintech segment emerged as a significant contributor accounting for 35% of the total revenue. Following closely, telecom and utilities made up 22%. Transportation and logistics contributed 11%, while retail and health care collectively represented 5% of the revenue. The company’s other segments contributed 23% of the revenue.
Saksoft’s subsidiaries include Bengaluru based DreamOrbit Softech. It became part of the company's portfolio after a takeover in December 2016. This subsidiary specialises in providing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for the logistics sector. Acuma, originally situated in the United Kingdom, joined the company following an acquisition in 2006.
Saksoft acquired US-based EDP in 2013. This subsidiary is engaged in offering information management services. MC Consulting Pte., a company based in Singapore with a focus on transportation and logistics, became part of Saksoft following an acquisition in February 2022. The other arms of Saksoft are Terafast Networks, Faichi and 360Logica.
Financial Highlights
The company’s revenue from operations in FY23 stood at ₹665.60 crore, up 38.5% compared to ₹480.43 crore in FY22. Its profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹82 crore in FY23 compared to ₹63.26 crore in FY22. In FY23, its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to ₹108.20 crore in FY23 compared to ₹79.02 crore in FY22. The company's earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹8.18 in FY23 compared to ₹6.34 in FY22.
