All products of the company are ISO-certified. NOCIL Limited operates as an entity of the diversified Arvind Mafatlal Group of Industries.

NOCIL Limited was incorporated in May 1961. The Mumbai-headquartered company commenced the production of rubber chemicals in the year 1975. NOCIL Limited is listed on both the National Stock Exchange and the BSE.

NOCIL Limited business operations

The company set up its first state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) in 1976. The other manufacturing facility was set up by the company in Dahej (Gujarat) in 2013. NOCIL Limited has implemented a fully automated manufacturing facility, utilising advanced PLC/DCS controls. The company has spread its network all over India and in over 40 countries.

NOCIL Limited’s offerings include a diverse portfolio comprising more than 20 products. The company offers antidegradants or antioxidants. They ensure that a rubber product achieves its intended or optimal lifecycle.

Pilflex Px 13 (6 PPD) and Pilnox TDQ (TMQ) are the top products in the antioxidant category of rubber chemicals. The majority of the overall consumption can be ascribed to these two products, accounting for more than 95% of the total usage. In this particular category, Pilnox SP represents another variant.

NOCIL Limited provides accelerators. It is a chemical added to rubber to make vulcanisation faster and more efficient, even at lower temperatures. It includes PVI(CTP), a pre-vulcanisation inhibitor, functioning as a vulcanisation retarder of the accelerator system. Included in this specific category are a range of supplementary products, namely Pilcure MBT, Pilcure MBTS, Pilcure CBS, Pilcure MOR, Pilcure TMT, Pilcure TBBS (NS), Pilcure DCBS, and Pilcure PVI.

NOCIL Limited manufactures a variety of products, extending beyond the automobile industry, to cater to specialised applications in diverse sectors. In this segment, the company offers products like Pilcure F, Pilcure ZDC, Pilcure ZBZDC, Pilcure ZMBT, Pilcure SDBC, Pilcure ZDBC, and Pilcure DHTS.

The products of the company have diverse applications, including areas like post-vulcanisation stabilisation and latex-based applications. NOCIL Limited aims to create unique products by incorporating innovative technologies and embracing Green Chemistry concepts.

Financial highlights

The company’s total income increased to ₹1,622.81 crore in FY23 from ₹1,575.19 crore in FY22, surging by 3.02% year-on-year. Its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) tanked by 15.30% year-on-year to ₹149.15 crore in FY23 from ₹176.11 crore in FY22. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹8.95 in FY23 as against ₹10.58 in FY22. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped from ₹283 crore in FY22 to ₹249 crore in FY23.
