KEC International Limited, a flagship entity of RPG Enterprises, provides infrastructure engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) services. Power transmission and distribution, railroads, civil and urban infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, solar energy, smart infrastructure and cables are a few of the industries in which the company’s portfolio is diversified.

KEC, a Mumbai-based company, was founded in 1945 by Ramjibhai Kamani and was formerly known as Kamani Engineering Corporation. Its history spans more than 75 years. The company has established a global presence, operating in over 110 countries and implementing projects in over 30 countries.
KEC excels in the design, manufacture, supply, and installation of turnkey projects across a range of industries. Power distribution networks, substations, optical fibre cable installations, railway infrastructure, civil projects and renewable energy initiatives are a few of the areas in which the company operates. With eight plants located in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the Americas, the company employs 7,779 people of 37 different nationalities.
Business operations
Power Transmission And Distribution
The power transmission and distribution EPC area is KEC’s largest business vertical. KEC offers end-to-end solutions for subterranean HT and EHV cabling activities, from planning and manufacturing to testing, delivering and constructing transmission lines on a turnkey basis. The company also works on turnkey EPC projects, including high voltage electrical distribution and switching substations all over the world. More than 70 countries spanning South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the Rest of Africa, Central Asia, Oceania, and the Americas have had infrastructure powered by KEC.
Railways
KEC provides full turnkey solutions for a range of railway projects. The company’s services include new railway lines, regional rapid transit systems, electronic interlocking, traction substations, overhead electrification, signalling and telecommunication installations. KEC has completed the electrification of more than 17,000 kilometres, or roughly 40% of the Indian railway network.
Civil And Urban Infrastructure
KEC’s civil business focuses on construction of a range of structures, such as factories, warehouses, residences, train stations, metros, sewage and water treatment plants, and defence-related civil projects. The company offers expert services across four verticals — defence, industrial and hydrocarbon, infrastructure and heavy civil, and residential and public spaces.
Solar
In keeping with the Indian government’s focus on renewable energy, KEC provides roof-top PV solutions for business and industrial customers as well as solar EPC services for solar PV projects developed by private companies.
Smart Infrastructure
KEC’s RPG Smart Infra division provides support for the deployment and commissioning of smart city technology related to banking, transport, utilities, traffic control, surveillance, education and healthcare.
Oil And Gas Pipelines
The oil and gas pipelines EPC business focuses on building cross-country pipelines in India and international markets.
Cables
The company operates two production sites in Vadodara (Gujarat) and Mysore (Karnataka), where it manufactures telecom and power cables.
