Dalmia Bharat Limited is a cement manufacturing company with a cumulative installed capacity of 44.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

The company owns and operates 15 cement plants and grinding units spread across 10 states in the country. It is the largest manufacturer of slag cement and is a category leader in super-speciality cement used for oil wells, railway sleepers and airstrips.

Dalmia Bharat Limited is also the fourth largest manufacturing capacity in India. It was originally incorporated as Odisha Cemen Limited in 2013. The company was renamed to its present name in 2019.

Part of the Dalmia Bharat Group, the company's legacy goes back to 1930. Jaidayal Dalmia, the founder of the Dalmia Bharat Group, bought a kilim with the Capacity to manufacture 250 tonnes of cement daily by a semi-dry process at the Dalmiapuram plant in Tamil Nadu.

Dalmia Bharat Limited's product line up includes ordinary portland cement (OPC), portland pozzolana cement (PPC), portland composite cement (PCC), portland slag cement (PSC) and other speciality cement. Its portfolio of three marquee brands: Dalmia Cement, Dalmia DSP and Konark Cement.

From just 9 MnT cement production capacity in FY 2012, the company has made significant strides to come to 14 facilities presently. Dalmia Bharat Limited is the only cement company with at least one plant in four of the key Indian states -- West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. The company is already in the process of acquiring JaiPrakash Associates' cement manufacturing units in Uttar Pradesh. The deal is likely to be closed in 2024.

Dalmia Bharat Ltd targets expanding its cement production capacity to 75 MTPA by FY 2027 and 110-130 MTPA by 2031, establishing itself as a truly pan-India company.

Dalmia Bharat Limited has continued to focus on more environmentally friendly methods in the business. The company is 14 times water positive and has set a target of 20 times water positive by 2025. It has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the cement segment globally.

The company has been ranked No. 1 in the global cement manufacturing sector by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for business readiness of the lowest carbon transition. Dalmia Bharat Limited has set a target to turn carbon negative by 2040.
