About AVANTEL LIMITED
Avantel Limited is an India-based company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of wireless front-end, satellite communication, embedded systems, signal processing, network management and software development, and rendering related customer support services. The Company's segments include Communications and signal processing products, and Health Care Services. It offers a mobile satellite services (MSS) network for the Indian Navy to provide reliable, secured, real-time, long-range (1000 nautical miles from shore) voice and data communications between ships, submarines, aircraft and Helios. It has developed wind profile radars, which provide three-dimensional atmospheric wind data on a continuous basis with spatial resolution. The Company has also developed a real-time solution for position determination and location transmission of the rolling stock for Indian railways. The system also enables the train information to be accessed through the Web or mobile service provider.
