• After trading in the red for almost the entire trading session on Monday, the equity benchmark indices ended marginally higher, ending the eight-day losing streak.

• BSE SENSEX on February 17 ended at 75,996.86 up 57.65 points, or 0.08%. NSE's NIFTY50 index ended at 22,959.50, up 30.25 points, or 0.13%.

• Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said that India is delivering good returns to investors who are booking profits, which fueled the market gains.

• FPIs (foreign portfolio investors) offloaded shares worth ₹21,272 crore from Indian equities so far this month (till February 14).

• Among the NIFTY50 stocks, 34 ended in the green while the rest 16 ended in the red. The top five gainers on the index were Adani Entertainment, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, Power Grid and Adani Ports. Moreover, the top five losers were Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and ICICI Bank.

Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended in green on Monday, February 14, after eight consecutive sessions of closing lower. NIFTY50 stands at around 22,959.50, up 0.13% from the opening of 22,809.90. Sensex ended over 57 points up at nearly 75,996.86.

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals shares on Monday jumped by nearly 20% upper circuit following the company's Q3 FY25 earnings announcement. GSK Pharma recently posted a five-fold jump in its net profit for the December quarter to ₹229 crore.

The stock is currently trading 17.7% up at ₹2,375.10 on the NSE on February 17.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who is known for being selective in picking stocks for his portfolio and only choosing the ones that meet his quality standards, lost nearly ₹1,600 crore in just two trading sessions from Concord Biotech scrip, which fell over 12% on Monday, February 17.

However, Concord Biotech stock is currently trading 0.30% up at ₹1,697.40 apiece on the NSE.

Bank of India shares on Monday are trading 2.16% down at ₹97.16 apiece on the NSE after the lender announced it raised ₹2,690 crore through 10-year infrastructure bonds at a coupon rate of 7.5% per annum.

Senco Gold shares hit their 52-week low on Monday due to subdued Q3 FY25 earnings. During the intraday trade, the stock touched its 52-week low of ₹304.55 on the NSE on February 17.

Senco Gold shares are currently trading 12.25% down at ₹313.80 apiece on the NSE.

Godfrey Phillips India shares are currently trading 13.23% up at ₹6,793.40 apiece on the NSE on Monday. The company's stock rose by nearly 14% today, extending gains consistently following its Q3 FY25 results announcement. The cigarette maker on February 13 posted a 48.7% growth in its net profit for the October-December quarter of the current fiscal to ₹315.9 crore as against ₹212.4 crore in the year-ago period.

In the NIFTY50 space, shares of Bajaj Finserv, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finance gained the most.

Shares of Tata Investment Corporation Ltd hit 52-week low of ₹5,159.95 apiece on the NSE on Monday, February 17.

Benchmark indices are trading lower on Monday. SENSEX dropped 366 points to 75,573, while NIFTY50 declined 0.5% to 22,814. Mahindra & Mahindra, Mero MotoCorp, ICICI Bank, Bharat Electronics and Tata Steel are the top laggards.
