Revenue from operations increased 17.8% to ₹14,460.45 crore in the quarter ended September 2024, compared to ₹12,267.15 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
The total income stood at ₹14,565.3 crore in Q2 FY25, up 18.1% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹12,331.2 crore a year back.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 293% to ₹566 crore in the latest July-September quarter, as against ₹144 crore in the second quarter of FY24. The margin is 3.9% vs. 1.2%.
In the quarter under review, the edible oil segment revenue grew by 21% YoY to ₹10,977 crore. The revenue of food and FMCG segment also rose 34% YoY to ₹1,718 crore.
"In Q2, the industry essentials segment's revenue declined by 9%, compared to the same period last year and recorded ₹1,766 crore. During the quarter, our industry essential segment's volume and value declined due to lower sale in Oleo, Castor meals and oil meal business," the company said in a regulatory filing.
Following the earnings announcement, shares of Adani Wilmar jumped 6.6% to ₹339.4 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
On the BSE, the stock surged 7% to ₹341.3 a unit.
Commenting on the results, Angshu Mallick, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Adani Wilmar, said, "The company’s revenue grew by 18% YoY to ₹14,460 crore. We have delivered another strong quarter, with double-digit growth in both edible oils and food and FMCG segments. The edible oils revenue grew by 21% YoY, and the food and FMCG revenue grew by 34% YoY."
"The stability in edible oil prices augurs well for our business, allowing us to deliver strong profits over the past four quarters. In H1’25, we achieved our highest-ever half-year operating EBITDA of ₹1,232 crore and PAT of ₹624 crore," he added.
