About Steel Exchange India
Steel Exchange India Limited is an India-based manufacturer of thermo mechanically treated (TMT) rebars under the brand SIMHADRI TMT. It is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of steel products and allied activities at its integrated steel plant (ISP) located close to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The ISP has approximately 220000 million tons per annum (MTPA) sponge iron unit, 3,62,000 MTPA steel melt shop/billet units, 3,57,000 MTPA rolling mill and a 60-megawatts (MW) captive power plant. The Company’s segments include Steel and Power. The Steel segment includes production and marketing operations of Sponge iron, Billets & Rebars (TMT). The Power segment includes generation and marketing operations of Thermal based power. Its Simhadri TMT bars are available in grades Fe500D, Fe550D and Fe500D CRS and in sizes ranging from eight millimeters (mm) to 32mm. It also manufactures sponge iron, billets, and TMT bars.
