CIE Automotive India Limited, formerly known as Mahindra CIE, is an Indian automotive supplier that has a presence in many technologies including forging casting, stamping gears, composited and magnetic products. The company owns and operates manufacturing facilities both in India and abroad. Part of the CIE Automotive Group, Spain, CIE Automotive India is the vehicle for its forging business globally. Its forging business offers stub axles, front axle beams and steel pistons, crankshafts, flashless near-net forging and forged steel parts.
The company’s casting business offers metal stamping components, assemblies, axle and transmission parts, turbocharger housing, high-pressure aluminium casting in thick wall parts like complex engine components and brake system parts CIE Automotive India Limited, originally incorporated as Mahindra Automotive Steels Ltd, is a public company. Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd divested its share in the company in parts before formally exiting it in 2023.

Business Operations
CIE Automotive India owns and operates 29 manufacturing facilities globally including four in Europe and one in Mexico. The company strengthened its position in the Indian market by setting up a world-class tool room to upgrade its operations in FY 2008. Earlier, that year, the company expanded its installed capacity of forgings to 48072 million tonnes by adding 5307 million tonnes.
In FY 2009, the company commissioned three additional presses. In 2012, a Global Alliance Agreement was signed between Mahindra's automotive component businesses and CIE Automotive with operations in North America South America Europe and Asia held through listed businesses in Spain, Brazil and India.
In 2013, the company's name was changed to Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited from Mahindra Forgings Limited. The next year, Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited amalgamated Mahindra Composites Ltd into the company.
In 2015, Mahindra Hinoday Industries Limited (MHIL), Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Limited (MUSCO), Mahindra Gears International Limited (MGIL), Mahindra Investments (India) Private Limited (MIIPL) and Participaciones Internacionales Autometal TRES, S.L. were merged with the company.
CIE Automotive got its present name in 2022. The same year, CIE Automotive India acquired 27% of Strongsun Solar for ₹ 2.4 crore. Strongsun is engaged in setting up captive power generation projects and the development of renewable energy assets in India. At the time, Strongsun was setting up two captive generating plants of the capacity of 7 MWp and 3 MWp to supply captive solar power from these plants to the Company's factory of Foundry Division at Urse (7 MWp) and Magnetics Products Division at Bhosari (3 MWp) respectively.
