Its laboratory has several departments, including clinical biochemistry; clinical pathology; histopathology, cytopathology and immune histochemistry; microbiology and serology; molecular pathology, and cytogenetics. It receives routine and specialized testing requests and related samples for testing from its central reference laboratories, satellite laboratories and collection centers.
