Benchmark equity indices SENSEX and NIFTY settled in red on Friday following the RBI MPC meeting outcome. The SENSEX fell 56.74 points to 81,709.12, while NIFTY declined 0.12% to 24,677.80. Adani Ports, Cipla and Bharti Airtel were the top losers.

Shares of MCX jumped more than 7% after the company's profit jumped 38.5% sequentially in Q2 FY25.

REC Ltd has appointed Sahab Narain as Head of internal audit function of the company.

"Sahab Narain is General Manager (Finance & Accounts) in REC. He is member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and also holds Master's Degree in Commerce," the company said in an exchange filing.

Shares of HCL Technologies Ltd gained 0.8% on Friday to hit their all-time-high of ₹1,939.35 apiece amid broader gain in IT stocks due to a weakening rupee.

Maruti Suzuki shares rose 0.5% after the company announced that it will increase prices up to 4% depending on variant from January 2025.

Waaree Energies share rise 3.4% on securing NABL accreditation for its cutting-edge PV Module Test Lab (PMTL).
