The surge in stock price comes after the company's subsidiary Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) secured its largest-ever order of 2 gigawatts (GW) solar project from Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Private Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of Jindal Renewables.
The renewable energy project will be implemented in Rajasthan's Bikaner, Rajasthan. Viren C Doshi, Director of WRTL, said, "We are delighted to collaborate with Jindal Renewables on this landmark 2 GW solar EPC project."

In an exchange filing on Tuesday, the company said that the Registrar and Share Transfer Agent informed it that they have "changed their name from Link Intime India Private Limited to MUFG Intime India Private Limited", effective December 31.
NTPC Green Energy stock rose 0.17% to ₹127.40 per share on the NSE. Intraday, it rose as much as 1.89%.
The company's market capitalisation stood at ₹1,07,351.44 crore.
ACME Solar Holdings shares were up 0.15% to ₹236 apiece.
Last week, ACME Renewtech Pvt Ltd, a unit of ACME solar, secured ₹1,988 crore in term loan financing from Power Finance Corporation to develop a 300 MW solar-wind hybrid renewable energy project.
Under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme, the company also won a 300 MW solar power project at a tariff of ₹3.05 per unit.
The stock traded at ₹1,329.80, down 1.72%, on the NSE, with a market capitalisation of ₹59,943.98 crore.
