Most renewable power stocks settled in red on Wednesday, January 8. Shares of Waaree Energies, Adani Green Energy, Premier Energies, ACME Solar Holdings, and KPI Green Energy were down.
On the other hand, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, was trading in green.
On Monday, the company informed stock exchanges about the commencement of trial production at its 5.4 gigawatt (GW) state-of-the-art solar cell manufacturing facility in Chikhli, Gujarat.
Last week, it received a 150 megawatt peak (MWp) supply order from a renowned client engaged in the business of owning, developing, and operating renewable power projects in India.
On January 5, the company announced the incorporation of "NTPC UP Green Energy Limited," a 51:49 joint venture of NTPC Green and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.
On January 4, NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, secured 1000 megawatts (MW) in the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) auction.
The market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹1,56,740.01 crore.
On Monday, it informed about the appointment of Dinesh Chadha as the President of Renewable Energy of ACME Solar Holdings.
Chadha holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur University. He was earlier associated with Linxon India (formerly ABB India) as managing director for India and Asia Pacific and head of global engineering.
Its market capitalisation stands at ₹56,470.76 crore.
