Vendanta completed the timely payment of ₹2,500 crore in interest and redemption to its debenture holders, the company said on Thursday.
The technology conglomerate repaid the Secured Unrated Unlisted Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) of ₹1 lakh each to its debenture holders.

In January, Vedanta’s parent company, Vedanta Resources Ltd (VRL), successfully restructured $3.1 billion through bond issuances in the four months preceding January, resulting in longer maturities of up to eight years.
Shares of United Spirits closed in the green at ₹472.35 apiece on Thursday, up 1.19% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). To be sure, the announcement was made after market hours.
The stock has surged 1.08% since the beginning of the week and 19.66% over the month. The scrip gained 6.28% on a year-to-date basis.
Vedanta reached its 52-week high of ₹526.95 on December 16, 2024, and a low of ₹267.35 almost a year ago on March 26, 2024.
Vedanta’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) in the December quarter of the 2024-25 financial year (Q3FY25) stood at ₹3,547 crore, jumping 76.2% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹2,013 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Its revenue from operations increased 10.18% YoY to ₹38,526 crore, compared to ₹34,968 crore in the third quarter of the 2023-24 financial year (Q3FY24).
Vedanta’s total market capitalisation stood at ₹1.84 lakh crore as of March 27, 2025, on the NSE.
