SUMMARY
IndusInd Bank was top loser in the NIFTY50 basket of shares, the stock declined 3.64% to close at ₹649.05. Wipro (-3.56%), Shriram Finance (-3.28%), Cipla (-2.83%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (-2.63%) were also among the losers.

The Indian equity benchmarks ended Friday's session on a subdued note on the back of a broad-based selling pressure. The SENSEX fell as much as 420.81 points to hit an intraday low of 77,185.62 and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 23,450.20 dragged down by losses in index heavyweights such as Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and Maruti Suzuki. The SENSEX ended 191.51 points or 0.25% to close at 77,414.92 and NIFTY50 index declined 72.60 points or 0.31% to close at 23,519.35.

On the flipside, Tata Consumer Products was top gainer in the NIFTY50 index, the stock closed 2.91% higher at ₹1,001.90. Kotak Mahindra Bank (2.13%), Apollo Hospitals (1.83%), ONGC (1.79%) and ICICI Bank (0.85%) were also among the gainers.
NIFTY Midcap 100 index ended 0.32% or 167 points lower at 51,672.25. As many as 73 shares in the index ended lower while 27 ended higher. Ola Electric was top loser in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock fell 4.17% to close at ₹52.80. AU Small Finance Bank (-4.04%), Tata Elxsi (-4.01%), IDFC First Bank (-3.65%) and PB Fintech (-3.41%) were also among the losers.
On the other hand, BSE was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index. The stock rose 16.09% to close at ₹5,483 ahead of its board meeting on March 30 to consider bonus issue of shares. Indraprastha Gas (4.24%), Hindustan Zinc (2.92%), Solar Industries (2.73%) and Voltas (2.64%) were also among the gainers.
NIFTY Smallcap 100 index declined 0.15% to close at 16,095.70. As many as 64 shares in the index ended lower while 36 closed higher. Aditya Birla Real Estate was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock advanced 6.42% to close at ₹2,000. Aster DM Healthcare (5%), Godfrey Phillips (4.81%), Atul (4.74%) and International Gemmological Institute (4.13%) were also among the gainers.
On the flipside, Aegis Logistics was top loser in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index, the stock fell 11.48% to close at ₹798.95. Brainbees Solutions (-6.05%), Firstsource Solutions (-4.79%), Creditaccess Grameen (-3.90%) and Anant Raj (-3.81%) were also among the losers.
