Cyient DLM shares surge over 12% on reporting 36% jump in profit in Q4

Shares of Cyient DLM, the Bengaluru-based electronics products maker for defence, aerospace and medical sectors, rose as much as 12.27% to hit an intraday high of ₹540 on the National Stock Exchange after it reported March quarter earnings post market hours on Tuesday.

Cyient DLM's net profit in March quarter jumped 36% to ₹31 crore from ₹22.74 crore in the same period last year. Its revenue from operations jumped 18% to ₹428 crore as against ₹361.84 crore in the year-ago period.

For financial year 2024-25, Cyient DLM's net profit rose 11% to ₹68 crore from ₹61 crore in the previous financial year.

In financial year 2024-25, Cyient DLM bagged multiple high-profile contracts reinforcing its strategic position in the global aerospace and defence ecosystem.

The company secured a production contract from Boeing for its Battery Diode Module, along with a deal for precision machined parts and assemblies. It also entered a strategic avionics manufacturing partnership with Thales and signed a major collaboration with Deutsche Aircraft for design development and manufacturing of a Cabin Management System, Cyient DLM said in investor presentation.

At the end of March quarter, the company’s order backlog stood at an ₹1,906 crore.

Strong execution and a favourable product mix led to a stellar Q4 EBITDA growth of 50.9% annually. Net profit (PAT) also rose sharply by 36.5% YoY, driven by improved operating profit. The company's other income took a hit due to the strategic deployment of funds toward acquisitions, Cyient DLM said.

Cyient DLM shares have so far this year declined 19.15% as against 0.73% decline in the BSE500 index.

As of 9:55 am, Cyient DLM shares traded 7.44% higher at ₹517.70, outperforming the BSE Smallcap index which was up 0.32%.
