About AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF

• AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF is an open-ended index fund which tracks the NIFTY 50 Index of the NSE.
• The ETF has been launched by AXIS Mutual Fund. The NSE symbol is AXISNIFTY.
• The passive investing fund scheme tracks the performance of the NIFTY 50, subject to tracking errors. NIFTY 50 index consists of 50 biggest and most traded companies on the NSE.
• The NIFTY 50 is the most widely tracked index and is a benchmark of Indian capital markets. The AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF thus reflects the overall performance of Indian markets.
• The portfolio of the ETF comprises five top sectors of financial services, IT, oil & gas, consumer goods, automobiles, pharma and others.
• AXIS Mutual Fund launched the AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF in December 2021.
• The direct growth fund scheme is managed by Karthik Kumar and Hitesh Das. Kumar has been managing the fund since August 4, 2023 while Das is started managing the fund on April 5, 2024.

Investment objective & Benchmark

• AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF targets to track returns by investing in a basket of NIFTY 50 index shares and seeks to attain returns of the key barometer, subject to tracking error.
• The passive fund scheme provides an exposure to the 50 largest, most trade and most valued companies listed on the NSE. These blue-chips reflect the performance of the Indian capital markets. The index fund provides an opportunity for long-term wealth creation.
• The investment in the ETF has been categorised as ‘very risky’ and investors should consult their financial advisor before putting money in the ETF.
• The AXIS NIFTY 50 ETF has given returns of 22.66% in the past year. Since inception the index has given returns of 12.4%.
• The assets under management of the ETF were worth ₹ 449.68 crore as of May 31, 2024. The NAV or Net Asset Value of the ETF is ₹14.57 per unit as of July 12, 2024.

Asset Allocation and Portfolio Composition

• The ETF tracks the performance of NIFTY 50 index which comprises 50 stocks spread across 13 industries.
• The ETF allocates 99.34% of resources to equities and 0.66% to cash or debt. Large cap stocks account for 98.71% of the market cap mix while 0.66% midcap shares.
• The top five sectors of the ETF are Financial Services (33.92%), Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels (12.44%), IT (11.97%), Automobile and Auto Components (8.01%) and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (7.97%).

The number of stocks in the ETF is 50. The fund participates in the NIFTY 50 constituents in the same proportion as the index.
