You can now login to your Upstox Keystone and Back Office accounts using your existing Upstox Pro UCC and password. This means you will no longer require your PAN details to log-in to these accounts.

What does this mean?
Earlier users required their UCC and PAN to log-in to their Upstox Keystone and IPO  accounts. However, in order to make it easier for you, we have updated this. You can now log-in to these accounts using the same UCC and password used to log-in to your Upstox Pro Web and Mobile app.

Your UCC and password are sent to you via SMS and email at the time of account opening.

What is the Upstox Keystone account?
Keystone is the back-end dashboard for traders and investors to track and check their trading activity. Once you log in to your Keystone account, you can view your open positions, trade-wise reports, holdings, ledger, profit & loss statements, and more.

What is the Upstox IPO account?

Patel Integrated Logistics Limited has credited existing shareholders’ Demat accounts with REs (Rights Entitlements) after it announced a Rights Issue.

What does this mean?
A company announces a Rights Issue to invite existing shareholders to buy more shares, usually at a discounted price. These shares are known as Rights Shares.

After the Rights Issue is announced, the company then credits its existing shareholders’ Demat Accounts with REs (Rights Entitlements).

These REs are not the Right Shares but the benefit given to existing shareholders to apply for the Right Shares. If shareholders do not wish to apply for these Rights Shares, they can even trade these REs in the market until a particular date.

What does this mean for Patel Integrated Logistics Limited shareholders?
Existing shareholders of Patel Integrated Logistics Limited (as on record date 18th Feb’21) have three options -

1. They can use their REs to apply for more shares of Patel Integrated Logistics Limited (in proportion to their existing shares - 27 for every 47 shares held) at a price of Rs.10  per share.

2. If they do not wish to apply for more shares, they can even trade their REs in the market.

3. Take no action.

What dates should one keep in mind?
Last date to apply: 12th March 2021
If you’re interested in applying for the right shares, you can apply on or before this date.
Last trading date for RE  - 8th March  2021
If you do not wish to apply for the rights shares, you can trade your REs in the market on or before this date.

How To Apply for Rights Shares?
There are 3 ways to apply -
1) Online through ASBA (Applications Supported by Blocked Amount) if your bank supports it just like you do for an IPO. 

2) Online through the RTA (Registrar and Transfer Agent) website  https://www.bigshareonline.com//RightsIssueCAF.aspx

3) Offline by filling the Composite Application Form (CAF) received in your courier from the company’s RTA and then submitting it at a Self Certified Syndicate Banks (SCSBs) branch.

For your benefit, we are not offering the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) buy-back offer of Rs. 57.50 per share on our platform because the current market price of NALCO is around Rs. 60 per share. Hence, it would make more economic sense for you to sell your shares in the secondary market instead of applying for this buy-back.

What does this mean?

After the NALCO buy-back offer of Rs. 57.50 per share went LIVE on 25th February 2021, the market price of NALCO crossed the Rs.57.50  price level and is currently trading at around Rs. 60 per share.

This means investors stand to make more profits if they sell their shares in the secondary market than they would if they apply for this buy-back.

Also, as per the Upstox policy, we charge a transaction fee of Rs 50 per buy-back transaction a trader places irrespective of the quantity they decide to sell. Whereas, for selling shares on the secondary market we do not charge any brokerage fee or transaction fee for delivery traders.

What do we recommend?
Since it makes more economic sense to sell your NALCO shares in the secondary market instead of selling them through this buy-back we recommend that you should not opt for this buy-back. Instead, you can place a sell order at no brokerage cost. To know how to place your sell order click here.
