Just Dial is India’s top local search engine that provides information about businesses, products and services. The company offers information through multiple channels including its website, mobile phone, app and SMS.

Just Dial works like a communication bridge between buyers and sellers. Established in 1996, Just Dial has emerged as a one-stop destination for all searches and transaction-related needs of Indian consumers across all sectors and regions.

Just Dial has a vast database covering diverse sectors, including travel, healthcare, education, manufacturing and retail. It is available on multiple platforms: websites, apps (Android and iOS), voice call and text messages (SMS).

The Mumbai headquartered company manages its operations through offices located across India in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Pune.

The company began its operation in 1996 under the brand Just Dial and it was named as A&M Communications Private Limited. Initially, it was a Delhi-based company. Later, it shifted its registered office to Mumbai in 2004. In 2006, A&M Communications Private Limited was renamed Just Dial Private Limited. Just Dial launched its official website in 2007.

In 2011, it became a Public Limited Company.

In September 2021, Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) completed the acquisition of Just Dial. Currently, Just Dial operates as a subsidiary of RRVL.

The total market capitalisation of Just Dial stood at over ₹4,100 crore as of January 10, 2024. Just Dial share price has surged 14.07% in the last three years.

Business Operations

Just Dial has a country-wide presence across more than 250 cities, including Tier II and III cities and over 11,000 pin codes. Its database contained over 4 crore users as of September 30, 2023.

It allows users to find local businesses, products and services. It allows user ratings and reviews on its platform that helps the customers to make better selections. The company mainly provides info on India’s SME sector.

Just Dial generates quality leads for small and medium businesses, which helps them to build a strong customer base. Just Dial enables the businesses to build relations with the customers directly.

Besides the search services, Just Dial offers a payment gateway, interactive digital catalogue, B2B tools and map service. Its digital platforms serve as a one-stop solution hub for various needs of SMEs. The company offers free listing services to business owners on its database. Just Dial has also launched multiple products for SMEs. JD Omni is an end-to-end business management solution for SMEs while JD Pay is a platform for quick digital payments for its users and vendors. The company’s social media platform, JD Social, allows the businesses to share curated content.
