State-owned Nalco on Monday reported a 76.3% rise in consolidated profit at ₹588.42 crore in the quarter ended June 2024.

The company had posted a consolidated profit of ₹333.76 crore in the year-ago period, National Aluminium Company Ltd (Nalco) said in an exchange filing.

Borosil Renewables' consolidated net loss widened to ₹14.23 crore in the June quarter of the current fiscal.

The company had reported a net loss of ₹11.53 crore for the June quarter of FY24, as per a filing with the BSE."

Total expenses rose to ₹389.64 crore in the quarter under review from ₹369.46 crore in the same period a year ago.

Benchmark indices closed lower on Monday, with NIFTY50 at 23,347 (-0.08%) and SENSEX shedding 57 points. In the NIFTY50 space, 30 stocks declined. Adani Ports, NTPC and Dr Reddy's were among the top losers.

Dhanlaxmi Bank on Monday reported a loss of ₹8 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year.

Against this, the bank had earned a net profit of ₹28 crore in the April-June quarter of FY24.

The bank's total income declined to ₹338 crore in the first quarter as against ₹341 crore in the same period a year ago, Dhanlaxmi Bank said in a regulatory filing.

Steel pipes maker Hi-Tech Pipes on Monday posted an over two-fold growth in consolidated net profit at ₹18.05 crore in the quarter ended June 2024, on higer revenues.

It had reported a net profit of ₹8.03 crore in the April-June period of the preceding 2023-24 financial year, the company said in an exchange filing.

State-owned BHEL on Monday said it has secured a 1,600 MW project from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

The coal-based unit will be set up in the Koderma district of Jharkhand on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis, BHEL said in a statement.

Air conditioning maker and engineering services provider Voltas Ltd on Monday reported an over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit at ₹335 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, led by a "significant volume growth" from its room AC business.

Besides, the Tata Group firm also achieved the "milestone" of one million units of AC sales in Q1 FY25" and its total income crossed ₹5,000-crore mark in the June quarter.

Benchmark indices were trading higher on Monday, with NIFTY50 up 0.37% and SENSEX gaining 360 points. In the NIFTY50 space, 31 stocks advanced. JSW Steel, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank were among the top gainers.

Godrej Properties has bought a 90-acre land parcel at Khalapur, in Raigad, Maharashtra for residential plotted development.

The land parcel is estimated to have a development potential of around 1.7 million square feet of saleable area consisting primarily of residential plotted development, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Benchmark indices opened lower on Monday, with NIFTY50 down 0.35% and SENSEX shedding 280 points. In the NIFTY50 space, 38 stocks declined. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and SBI were among the top losers.

The GIFT NIFTY is trading flat, suggesting a subdued start for the NIFTY50 today. Meanwhile, Asian markets are showing mixed performance, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 up by 0.5% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index trading flat.
