SUMMARY
From the 30-share blue-chip pack, Zomato jumped nearly 7%. Tata Motors, Infosys, UltraTech Cement, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Bajaj Finance were the other major gainers.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 631.55 points or 0.83% to settle at 76,532.96. During the day, it jumped 698.32 points or 0.92% to 76,599.73.
The NSE Nifty soared 205.85 points, or 0.90% to 23,163.10.
In contrast, ITC Hotels, Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Asian Paints, and ITC were among the laggards.
The BSE MidCap index closed the session at 42,366.13, up 1,047.47 points, or 2.54%, while the BSE SmallCap index ended at 49,050.57, up 1,558.09 points, or 3.28%.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth ₹4,920.69 crore on Tuesday, according to exchange data.
As many as 4,082 stocks traded on the BSE on Wednesday. Out of this, 2,978 advanced, and 1,011 declined, while 93 stocks remained unchanged.
As many as 52 stocks hit their 52-week highs while 149 scrips touched their one-year lows.
A total of eight stocks hit their upper circuit limit and six touched their lower circuit bands.
The price was 30.7% lower than the implied price of ₹260.
On the BSE, shares were listed at ₹188 apiece. The implied price on the BSE was ₹270. Hence, this suggests that the stock was listed at a 30.3% discount on the BSE.
In Asian markets, Seoul and Tokyo settled in the positive territory. Markets in Shanghai and Hong Kong were closed due to holidays.
European markets were trading mostly in the green. US markets ended higher on Tuesday.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude declined 0.93% to $76.77 a barrel.
