In the first exchange filing, RailTel said it had received the work order from East Central Railway for ₹47.50 crore (including taxes).
The work is related to the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Electronic Interlocking System of Distributed EI in the Dhanbad Division.
In the second filing, the PSU said it had received the work order from Northern Railway for an order amounting to ₹28.29 crore (including tax).
The work is related to indoor and outdoor double-distant signalling work.
It is expected to be completed by September 6, 2026.
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RailTel) is a Navratna PSU, a major neutral telecom infrastructure provider in India, owning a pan-India optic fibre network along railway tracks and providing various telecom services and project work services.
On Thursday, March 6, the company bagged multiple work orders, including one from the Border Security Force (BSF) and two from the State Transport Authority Odisha totalling ₹311.68 crore.
According to an exchange filing, the work order from the BSF is worth ₹19.08 crore (or ₹19,08,82,886) and involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of hardware and software for BSF’s cloud network.
The order is expected to be completed by June 3, 2025, RailTel said in a filing to the exchanges.
The Navratna PSU also received two work orders from the State Transport Authority of India worth ₹262.34 crore and ₹30.26 crore.
The order, valued at ₹262.34 crore (or ₹2,62,33,85,540), is for the upgradation of the existing Command Control Centre to a Unified Command Control Centre. Additionally, it includes implementing the Intelligent Enforcement Management System (lEMS) for Odisha’s State Transport Authority, RailTel said in a regulatory filing dated March 6.
The second work order from the State Transport Authority, worth ₹30.26 core is for Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS) work.
Both the orders are expected to be completed by August 1, 2025, it added.
