NBCC (India) bags work order worth ₹500 crore; shares trim morning losses

Shares of NBCC jumped from intraday lower levels after the company announced a new order win for the construction of BIS headquarters in Noida. This is the second order in the month of November, while total order inflow during October stood strong at approximately ₹6,000 crore

NBCC (India) has received a work order worth around ₹500 crore from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The order is for the construction of buildings at BIS Headquarters, New Delhi, Central laboratory, Sahibabad, National Institute of Training for standardization, Noida, Northern Regional Laboratory, Mohali and Bangalore Branch Laboratory, Bengaluru.

Company also announced an order win from Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL), a subsidiary of NBCC (India) Limited, in the normal course of business, amounting ₹65.00 Crore.

In October 2024, the company received two major orders from Employees State Insurance Corporation, Govt. of India and Govt. of Goa worth ₹3,050 crore in total. The ₹1,322 crore order from ESIC included the construction of an additional 500 Beds (enhancement of bed strength from 650 to 1150 beds) at ESIC Medical College and Hospital at Faridabad. The ₹1,726 crore order from Govt. of Goa comprised the redevelopment of various state government quarters in Goa.

NBCC (India) is one of the few public sector companies engaged in providing project management consultancy services for civil construction projects (PMC), civil infrastructure for the power sector, and real estate development.

Shares of NBCC traded at ₹97.13 apiece on the NSE, lower by 0.7% after trimming some morning losses. On a YTD basis, NBCC shares gave robust returns of 78%, while on an annual basis, the share price more than doubled from ₹44 per share to ₹97 per share.
