In the early trade, the stock surged as much as 3.13% to ₹1,062.55 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). At 9:23 am, it was up 1.43% to ₹1,044.95 per share.
The Gautam Adani-led firm posted an 85.15% increase in its consolidated profit after tax to ₹474 crore for the three-month period ended December 2024 due to high revenue from power supply.
In the year-ago period, the company had logged a PAT of ₹256 crore.
Revenue from power supply climbed 12.91% to ₹1,993 crore in the reporting quarter, compared to ₹1,765 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) declined to ₹1,601 crore in Q3 FY225 compared to ₹1,666 crore a year back. EBITDA margin stood at 67.7% vs 72.1% in the year-ago quarter.
The company said that it expanded its operational capacity by 37% year-on-year (YoY) to 11,609 megawatts (MW), including 2,113 MW of solar capacity and 312 MW wind capacity in Khavda, 126 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat and 580 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan.
Amit Singh, CEO of Adani Green, said, "We are steadily developing the world's largest RE plant in Khavda, Gujarat as well as large-scale plants in Rajasthan and other sites, supported by well-aligned transmission planning."
"Our updated strategy now includes largescale deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), given significant cost declines in last few quarters. BESS can be deployed relatively quickly and will be crucial in grid integration, supporting rapid renewable growth and complementing our existing solar, wind and hydro pumped storage projects," he added.
The company reported a 23 YoY% in energy sales backed by robust capacity additions and strong operational performance.
