Gold prices edged lower for the second day in a row in major Indian cities on Tuesday, October 15, due to weak local demand and global trends. Gold prices eased by ₹50 per 10 grams in major Indian cities. The price of precious metal marginally changed in early Asian trade, which restricted its movement in the domestic market.

Spot gold was quoted flat at $2,650 per ounce on Tuesday in global markets as gains from a pullback in the US dollar were offset by concerns over the effectiveness of Chinese stimulus measures.

Silver prices traded flat at ₹96,900 per kg in major Indian cities in early trade on Tuesday. While the white metal was trading higher in global markets, weak demand from coin makers and industrial units kept the prices steady.

Spot Silver traded 0.29% higher at $31.28 per ounce in global markets.
