Under the PM Kisan scheme, a landholder farmer's family is defined as "a family comprising of husband, wife and minor children who own cultivable land as per the land records of the concerned State/UT."

PM Narendra Modi on Monday transferred ₹22,000 crore to bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers under 19th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from Bihar's Bhagalpur.

PM Kisan 19th Installment Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the PM-KISAN scheme's 19th installment on Monday, February 24, transferring around ₹22,000 crores directly to the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers.

Under the PM Kisan scheme, a landholder farmer's family is defined as "a family comprising of husband, wife and minor children who own cultivable land as per the land records of the concerned State/UT."

If a family member was an income taxpayer in the last assessment year, the family is not eligible to benefit under PM Kisan Yojana.

As per the PM Kisan website, individuals or farmer families owning more than 2 hectares of cultivable land are eligible under the scheme.

"The ambit of the scheme has been extended to cover all farmer families, irrespective of the size of their land holdings," the government said.

PM Kisan 19th Installment Live Updates: The below-mentioned category of farmers are not eligible for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits:

• Institutional landholders
• Farmer families with one or more members belonging to the following categories: former and present holders of constitutional posts, elect members of Lok sabha/ Rajya sabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative councils, former and present/mayors of Municipal corporations and former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
• Serving or retired government employees.
• People earning a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more
• People who paid income Tax in the last assessment year
• Professionals such as doctors, lawyers, engineers, chartered accountants, and architects.

All landholding farmers' families who have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to get benefit under PM Kisan scheme.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24, 2019.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, all landholding farmers' families are eligible ₹6,000 financial benefit per annum per family. It is paid in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each at an interval of four months.

PM Kisan 19th Installment Live Updates: Central Sector Scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi provides income support to all landholding farmers' families in India to help them meet their financial needs related to agriculture and allied activities.

Since the launch of the PM Kisan Yojana, ₹3.46 lakh crore has been disbursed. After Monday's disbursal, this amount will increase to ₹3.68 lakh crore.

As e-KYC is mandatory to get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan scheme), it can be completed using three methods:

• Biometric-based e-KYC (Common Service Centers)
• OTP-based e-KYC (using Aadhaar-linked mobile number)
• Face authentication-based e-KYC
