SUMMARY

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced the launch of three housing schemes offering affordable housing to all income categories in locations like Loknayakpuram, Jasola, Narela, Rohini, and Dwarka, among others. Nearly 40000 houses will be made available, most of which will be for the low-income group (LIG) and economically weaker section (EWS) categories.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched three new housing schemes, offering around 40,000 housing units in affordable, mid-income and high-income categories. Houses being offered range from as low as ₹11.5 lakh to as high as ₹5 crore.

To address the housing needs of low-income households, meet the demand for affordable housing and manage its unsold properties, DDA has come up with three schemes:

  1. DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024
  2. DDA General Housing Scheme 2024
  3. DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024

DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024

  • This scheme has the most number of flats, almost 34000 units are being offered between the price range of ₹11.5 lakh and ₹28.47 lakh.

  • Affordable houses are being offered to low-income group (LIG) and economically weaker section (EWS) categories in locations like Ramparti Colony, Siraspur, Rohini, Loknayakpuram and Narela.

  • It is being offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • Registration for this scheme starts on August 22, 2024, at 11 am while the booking of the flats will begin on September 10, 2024, at 11 am.

  • The scheme will close on March 31, 2025.

DDA General Housing Scheme 2024

  • Also known as the DDA Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024, this scheme is offering nearly 5500 flats ranging from ₹29 lakh to ₹2.18 crore.

  • Flats are being offered to all categories including low-income group (LIG), economically weaker section (EWS), high-income group (HIG) and middle-income group (MIG).

  • It is also being offered on a first-come-first-serve basis like the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme.

  • Units are located in Jasola, Loknayakpuram and Narela areas.

  • Registration for the scheme begins on August 22, 2024, booking of the flats will begin on September 10, 2024, at 11 am, and the scheme closes on March 31, 2025.

DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024

  • This is the scheme primarily for the MIG and HIG sections with flats being offered on the higher side of prices, starting from ₹1.28 crore and going up to ₹5 crore.

  • 173 flats will be up for sale including a penthouse, hour super HIGs, 21 HIGs and 147 MIGs in different locations in Sectors 14, 16B and 19B of Dwarka.

  • E-auction will be held for this scheme. Registration and earnest money deposit (EMD) submission begins on August 21 at 11 am.

  • Participants can register online for e-auction and pay the EMD online by September 16, 2024, by 6 pm.

  • The last date to submit final applications is September 19, 2024, by 6 pm and the online e-auction will be held on September 24, 2024.

Documents required

To apply for the above three schemes, the following documents should be kept ready:

  • PAN card
  • Identity proof (Passport/Government ID/Driving licence/Ration card/Aadhar card)
  • Residence proof (Electricity bill/Water bill/Telephone bill)
  • Income proof (Necessary for EWS category applicants)
  • Caste certificate/Handicapped certificate (If applicable)
  • Bank account passbook
  • Filled affidavit

How to apply?

Step 1: Visit the official website at https://eservices.dda.org.in/ and know about all the details like locations, prices, etc. Step 2: Choose a flat on the website (it will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis). Step 3: Within 30 minutes of selecting a flat, pay the application money. Application money is non-refundable in case of cancellation of application.

Payment process

To make payment for the flats:

  • Generate an e-challan through the DDA portal.
  • Make payments using net banking, RTGS or NEFT from the bank account.
  • To pay online, visit the DDA housing scheme website and pay by clicking on the ‘Payments’ link following the instructions. You will need login details like phone number and challan number to make the payment.

One can also pay through a house loan from a recognised financial institution. Disabled individuals can opt to pay in cash or in instalments. It is advised to ensure that the payment is completed within 90 days from the date of allotment or demand letter issuance. If the payment isn’t made within the stipulated time period, the flat allotment will be cancelled.
