HDFC Bank reports robust Q2 growth 

On a standalone basis, HDFC Bank’s net interest income grew by 30.3% YoY to ₹27,385 crore during the September quarter. Meanwhile, its net profit stood at ₹15,976 crore, up 50.6% YoY. Gross advances stood at over ₹23 lakh crore, up 57.7% YoY. However, the gross non-performing assets of the private lender increased to 1.34%, rising by 11 basis points from the same period last year.

⭐ DMart slips as net profit declines

Shares of Avenue Supermarts, which operates DMart stores, closed 1.8% lower today after its consolidated net profit declined 9.5% YoY to ₹623 crore for the September quarter. During the same period, the bank’s revenue from operations grew 18.6% YoY to ₹12,624 crore. As per the management, lower sales from high-margin general merchandise and apparel business impacted overall profitability.   

⭐ Kalpataru Projects gains on multiple orders 

Shares of Kalpataru Projects rose 5% today after the company received orders worth ₹2,217 crore. The company’s transmission & distribution business bagged contracts worth ₹1,993 crore, while its building and factories segment received an order worth ₹224 crore in the domestic market. 

⭐ Mphasis announces new acquisition 

The IT services provider has acquired a 100% stake in the US-based consulting firm, Silverline for $132.5 million. As per Mphasis management, this acquisition will strengthen the company's end-to-end enterprise cloud solutions and services provider business vertical. Mphasis shares closed 1% lower today.

BLS International rises on new contract

Shares of the visa service provider rose more than 4% today. This came after the company won a Schengen global visa outsourcing contract for Slovakia. As part of the deal, BLS International will offer tourist, business and national visa services.
