In 1976, Sunil Bharti Mittal founded Bharti Enterprises as a manufacturer of bicycle parts. It transitioned to the telecom business in 1995 with the launch of Airtel in Delhi. Currently, Bharti Airtel has 55 crore customers across 15 countries.
