The National Stock Exchange is open for trading in the equity segment on weekdays, except on the above-mentioned holidays. The following are the trading sessions and timings for the equity and the commodity derivatives segments.
Pre-Open Session
- Order entry & Modification Open: 9:00 AM – 9:08 AM. (This session includes the random closure at the last minute.)
- Order Matching Session: This session begins immediately after the order entry session ends.
Regular Trading Session
- Market Open: 09:15 AM
- Market Close: 03:30 PM
Closing Session
The closing session is conducted between 03:40 PM and 04:00 PM.
Block Deal Session
- Morning Window: 08:45 AM to 09:00 AM
- Afternoon Window: 02:05 PM to 02:20 PM
