Retail inflation eases in August
Retail inflation has eased from 5.5% in July to 5.3% for August ‘21. The number was better than the street expectation of 5.6%. Further, it is within the Reserve Bank of India’s target of 2% to 6%.
The fall in the inflation rate was driven by a drop in prices of food items. Meanwhile, fuel and light prices continued to remain at elevated levels. Today, the wholesale inflation numbers are expected to be released, which are also expected to ease.
Two companies make their debut today
Ami Organics and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre will make their debut on the stock exchange today. Ami organics saw a stellar IPO subscription where the issue was subscribed around 64 times. Whereas, Vijaya Diagnostic Centre was subscribed 4.5 times.

Advanced Enzyme soars on trial breakthrough
The enzymes and probiotics maker's shares rose 12% yesterday. This comes after the company announced that its nutraceutical supplements helped Covid patients to recover faster. The company said that its products were tested for safety and efficacy on 200 patients suffering from post-Covid fatigue symptoms.
The management said that there is a need to address the issue of post‐Covid immunity soon, as it’s affecting quality of life. It added that the company’s randomised clinical trials revealed that enzymes and probiotics are a robust mechanism to revitalise stamina and vitality.
