Nifty50

Nifty50 opened in the green but immediately saw profit booking. It is trading at 17,715 levels, down by 140 points. 

The highest call option base for the September series is at 18,000 followed by 17,900 and even the 17,800 strike is seeing further additions today. For put options, the highest base is still at 17,000 followed by 17,800 and 17,500 strikes.

PCR-OI data suggests immediate resistance at 18,000 and support at 17,600 levels. 

Bank Nifty

Bank Nifty is also witnessing profit booking today and is down by 350 points at 37,810 levels. 

The highest call option base for the September series is at 38,000 followed by 38,500 and even the 38,200 strike is seeing further additions today. For put options, the highest base is at 37,500 followed by 37,000 and 36,000 strikes.

PCR-OI data suggests immediate resistance at 38,500 and support at 37,500 levels. 


Global Markets Update 

Major European markets have opened flat to negative in the range of 0.03% to - 0.2%. US Futures are trading flat, with the Dow Futures trading down by 10 points.

Today’s top gainers are REC, BHEL, Power Grid, Power Finance and NTPC. 

Today’s top losers are DLF, Metropolis, Vodafone Idea. Bharti Airtel and Indiabulls Hsg. 


Sector Update: (Top gainer sectors and Top Loser sectors)

PSU Bank and Metals are the green with stocks like PNB, Coal India, Vedanta and JSW Steel trading higher. 

Realty is seeing some profit-booking along with the IT sector and both are trading in the red. Stocks like DLF, Godrej Properties, Mindtree and Coforge are trading lower.
