Nifty50

The Nifty50 is trading in a range of 100 points as investors keep an eye out for the US Fed's policy outcome later tonight. Auto and Pharma stocks are trading in the green, while FMCG and Metal stocks witnessed selling pressure. At 12 pm, the Nifty50 was trading 14 points higher at 15,747.

For June 16 options contracts, the Nifty50 has sizable positions at 16,000 and 15,800 call options and 15,700 and 15,500 put options. Further, additions were seen in 15,800 call options and 15,700 put options. 

The Nifty50’s immediate support is at 15,600 and resistance is at 16,000 levels. 

Bank Nifty

The Bank Nifty is holding on to its opening gains and trading above the 33,400-mark. With 8 out of twelve bank stocks trading in the green, the Bank Nifty was trading 141 points higher at 33,452. 

For June 16 options contracts, the Bank Nifty has sizable positions at 33,500 and 34,000 call options and 33,000 and 33,300 put options. Further additions were seen in 34,000 call options and 33,300 put options.

The Bank Nifty’s immediate support is at 32,900 and resistance is at 34,000 levels. 


Stock Action 

Today’s top gainers are Indraprastha Gas, Polycab, Piramal Enterprises, Bajaj Finserv and AU Small Finance Bank. 

Today’s top losers are Tata Communications, Tata Chemicals, Sun TV, ABFRL and Delta Corp. 


Sector Update

Among major sectoral indices, Auto and Pharma witnessed buying interest. Stocks like Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Ashok Leyland, Ipca Labs and Divi’s Labs are trading in the green.

The FMCG and Realty sectors came under selling pressure. Stocks like Dabur, ITC, Colgate-Palmolive and Oberoi Realty, are trading in the red. 


Global Markets Update

Major European markets are likely to open mixed as their futures are trading in the range of -0.1% to +1.0%. The US futures are trading higher, up by +0.3%.
