BEL signs defence supply contract 

The Ministry of Defence has signed two new contracts worth ₹3800 crore with Bharat Electronics (BEL). As part of the contract, the state-owned firm will supply medium power radar and digital radar warning receivers to the Indian Air Force.

 

⭐ RVNL secures new order  

The rail infrastructure company said it was awarded a new project worth ₹252 crore in Gujarat. This project work involves the upgradation of a six-lane highway. The work will be executed along with a joint venture partner.

 

⭐ Accenture lowers its revenue forecast

The IT consulting firm lowered its annual revenue growth forecast to 8-10%, down from the previous 8-11% expected. This comes amidst global economic woes, which could lower corporate IT spending. Meanwhile, the company reported revenue of $15.8 billion, a rise of 9% YoY and a quarterly profit of $1.5 billion during the second quarter. Accenture results come ahead of the quarterly earnings of Indian IT companies.
