Axis Nifty 50 Index Fund: NFO closes on 29th November 2021

Axis Nifty 50 Index Fund is an open-ended fund that will replicate or track the Nifty 50 index.
| Good to knowWhat is an index fund? An index fund is a mutual fund designed to track or replicate an index, such as the ** Nifty 50** or the ** Sensex**. These funds try to match the risk and return of the market on the theory that the market will outperform any single investment in the long term. It follows a passive style of investing. |

Investment objective
The primary investment objective is to provide the returns before the tracking error of expenses (nearly matching the total returns of the ** Nifty 100**). However, the fund gives no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be met.
An index fund provides broad exposure to the markets and has a low expense ratio as compared to actively managed funds. It represents 50 companies selected from the Nifty 100 based on free-float market capitalization, thus offering a consistent style.
Diversification is ensured in an index fund since the Nifty 50 index consists of 50 companies spread across 13 industries. Additionally, the Nifty 50 is the de-facto barometer of the Indian equity markets, making it an ideal strategy for investors looking for market-linked equity returns. Nifty 50 has given consistent returns over the long term with relatively low volatility.
