About Yajur Fibres Limited
Yajur Fibres operates a bast fibre cottonising unit in India and is part of the Kankaria Group, which has over 80 years of experience in the jute industry. Located in Howrah, West Bengal, the company manufactures bast fibres such as flax (linen), jute and hemp. The group acquired cotton and blended yarn operations in 2006, and began commercial production of bast fibres in FY18. It converts long bast fibres into short-staple, cotton-like fibres that can be processed on existing cotton spinning systems and blended with cotton and man-made fibres.
The company operates a manufacturing facility spanning approximately 19 acres in the jute hub of West Bengal and has a production capacity of over 300 metric tonnes per month of cottonised fibre, flax yarn and jute yarn. Further, it has benefited from repeat orders over the past 5 years from 159 customers, out of a total customer base of more than 260 customers.
Domestic revenue was led by Andhra Pradesh contributing 20.42% , Tamil Nadu contributing 18.82% and West Bengal contributing 12.72% as of Nevember 2025. Exports constituted 12.26% of revenue, across countries such as Turkey, Nepal, Indonesia and Taiwan. Product-wise, cottonised flax contributed 77.81%, flax yarn 11.93%, cottonised jute 5.28%, jute yarn 3.88% and others 1.11% as of November, 2025.
