Proven track record with timely delivery

The company has built a solid execution track record in the last 14+ years for executing power transmission EPC projects with success on difficult HV/EHV projects on transmission lines, substations, and underground cabling. It has delivered projects ranging from 66 kV to 400 kV, including projects delivered ahead of schedule, like the 66 kV line (18 km in 4 months) and the 220 kV line (83 km). As of December 31, 2025, it has delivered 500 CKM of transmission lines and underground cables.

Strong order book

The company has built a solid and growing pipeline of work worth ₹744.60 crore as of December 31, 2025, consisting of 58 projects, giving the company solid visibility in the medium term. Pipeline growth in the recent past is a testament to its scalability and ability to consistently win projects. The diverse mix consists of 51 EPC projects and 8 O&M contracts.

Complex engineering & special projects

Other than project execution, the company also offers operations and maintenance services. As of August 31, 2025, it manages about 134 substations up to 220 kV, thus giving experience and support through recurrent work.

About Om Power Transmission Limited

Om Power Transmission is an EPC company operating in the power transmission sector since 2011. Since its inception, the company has developed the capability to execute high and extra-high voltage transmission lines and substation projects, as well as underground cabling projects in a 14+ year history. It offers end-to-end service to its customers through the design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance phases of each project. As of the RHP date, it has executed over 1,000 circuit kilometres of transmission lines as well as executed 11 substations.
The company operates across four core business segments: Transmission line EPC, substation EPC, underground cabling, and operation & maintenance (O&M). Transmission Line EPC continues to be the largest contributor to the company’s total revenue and is made up of projects ranging from 11 kV to 400 kV. The substation EPC segment has grown significantly in recent years as the company has executed both conventionally designed and renewable energy-linked substations with over 17 projects completed.
The underground cabling segment of the company has also had success through the cable laying and related construction activities. The O&M segment generates recurring revenue by providing maintenance services; currently the company manages 124 substations through this segment. As of December 2025, the company had an order book worth approximately ₹745 crore across 58 projects, up sharply from approximately ₹210 crore at the end of FY23. The majority of the order book has come from transmission line EPC projects (approximately 70%), with substation EPC projects making up the second largest portion of orders at approximately 23%.
The geographical split of orders still shows Gujarat as the major source contributing 79% of the order book in 9MFY26; however, the company has begun diversifying into new states such as Punjab and Rajasthan to create new opportunities. The vast majority (84%) of the company's order book is from Government utilities, demonstrating their strong relationship with public sector clients. As of December 2025, the company employed 1,164 people, a large number of whom were posted in the O&M segment. The company's transmission line EPC contributed 45% to total revenue in 9MFY26, followed by underground cabling at 26%, substation EPC at 21% and O&M at 8%. The substation segment has grown substantially to 21% from 12% in FY23, indicating that the company is diversifying out of its core transmission business over time. The company’s return ratios are also up significantly, with ROE at approximately 24% and ROCE close to 26% in the 9MFY26. The strong 2.7x book-to-bill ratio gives good short-term revenue visibility.
The electricity generation business segment in India is witnessing tremendous growth in its operations owing to rising demand for electricity from both industries and households as well as upcoming industries like electric vehicles and green hydrogen. As the total energy consumption in India is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of ~5.4% from 1,626 BU in FY24 to 2,473 BU in FY32, driven mainly by urbanisation, industrialisation, and government policies to encourage electricity consumption.
Meanwhile, on the supply side, the generating capacity in India is projected to grow tremendously from 442 GW in FY24 to 673 GW in FY30, along with robust growth in renewable energy with an aim of attaining 500 GW capacity by 2030. Transmission and distribution (T&D) in the electricity industry is also experiencing growth largely owing to several major initiatives undertaken by the government, including One Nation-One Grid-One Frequency and increasing investments in grid infrastructure. In addition, the T&D infrastructure in India has reached the mark of 4,64,286 circuit km transmission line with plans to add ~17,500 ckm transmission line annually, along with 80,000 MVA transformation capacity in the next 3 years.
Moreover, the huge announcements for new capital expenditure and continued construction work reflect the magnitude of the opportunity that exists in the power industry. In line with the National Electricity Plan, the transmission network is anticipated to grow in a big way, and the total transmission lines will touch approximately 5,71,403 ckm during FY27, with substantial capacity building for transformation. Competition among the EPC businesses is also very strong, with numerous organised and regional companies for business. The future plans for the organisation include expansion geographically outside Gujarat, undertaking high-value work in the 400 KV segment, and optimising operations. On the whole, industry tailwinds are extremely favourable for EPC companies such as Om Power Transmission Limited, which is due to growing electricity demand and investment in transmission networks.

Now, Om Power Transmission Limited is launching its initial public offering (IPO), which consists of a fresh issue of ₹133 crore and an offer for sale of ₹18 crore only. The total issue size of the IPO is ₹150 crore. Its shares will be listed on the NSE and BSE.
