Incorporated in 2017, Newmalayalam Steel Limited took over the business of M/s. Demac Steel for ₹532.39 lakhs, paid via 53,238 equity shares and ₹938 by cheque. The company manufacture galvanized pipes, tubes, and sheets, primarily serving Kerala’s construction industry. In 2018, it installed a 3,500 MT tube mill and increased capacity to 4,000 MT in 2019. Its products, known for durability and rust resistance, are in constant demand due to Kerala's challenging weather. Its promoters, including Vazhappily Davis Varghese, have been key to expanding the business.
